Firdous Ashiq Awan Sent a Defamation Notice to Imran Khan Worth Rs 2 Billion

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan has filed a defamation suit against anchorperson Imran Khan and sent him a legal notice for launching a defamation campaign against her.

In a Twitter message, Firdous Ashiq Awan, former special assistant to PM Imran Khan for information, said that a defamation notice has issued to anchorperson Imran Khan for launching a false campaign against her.

The issue started when anchorperson Imran Khan uploaded a video on his Youtube channel. In which, he claimed that the real reasons for the removal of Firdous Ashiq Awan from her post of Special Information Assistant due to corruption in government funds. He stated that Firdous Ashiq Awan was involved in financial embezzlement of government advertisements, and removed from her post after the completion of the inquiry.

Firdous Ashiq Awan denied all the accusations of anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan and sent a legal notice to him. In the notice, Firdous Ashiq Awan demanded an apology from anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan, and he would have to pay Rs 2 billion in damages if the campaign against her continues.
