Dar ul Uloom Deoband Issues Fatwa for Offering “Taraweeh” Prayer in Homes

Dar ul Uloom Deoband India issues a ‘Fatwa’ in which they urged the public to offer ‘Taraweeh’ prayer at home. In their detailed ‘Fatwa’ they strongly condemned the social gatherings in mosques amid the corona pandemic, it is very important to follow the social distancing to safeguard from the Corona outbreak. There shouldn’t be more than 5 people in the mosque, including Imam and Muaz’zan. The Islamic Scholars of Dar ul Uloom have appealed from the public to follow this Fatwa wholeheartedly.

The president of Dar ul Uloom Deoband, Maulana Arshad Madni, asserted that the Muslims must follow the rules of social distancing and avoid all unnecessary activities outside their homes. The situation is worsening day by day and we must take all the precautionary measures to combat this virus. People should arrange ‘Taraweeh’ prayers in their homes with their families and pray to God to secure us from this deadly virus.
